Vitaskär - The ferry

To visit the island you have to take the ferry from Nogersund 

the village is located in listerlandet [Sölvesborg]

Fallow Deer

You can see fallow deer in the north, east and south side of the island. A fence seperates the animals from the village located on the west side.

Bönsäcken

On the north side of the island there is this place wich consists of many polished stones, that have been shaped by the baltic sea. 

The restaurant- Fisky business

At the harbor there is a restaurant Fisky business which is very popular among the islanders and visitors.

Why not have a meal, or just have a beer and enjoy the beautiful view.

The store

The store are next to the restaurant.

Here you can buy ice cream, candy, chips, soda, mineral water, dairy products, hygiene items, etc.

The Hostel

English cemetery

In the cemetery rest 15 seamen from the English fleet who died during the Napoleonic war on Hanoe in 1810 to 1812.

Outside the cemetery lies Karna Matsdotter with her 2 daughters who died in the cholera pandemic 1834

The Harbor

This beautiful harbor has many visitors from different countries. The harbor seems to be small. But can you believe it? Around 70 sailing boats can be in the harbor at the same time.

The lighthouse

Is located on the Hanoe´s highest mountain and

was built in 1905. The lighthouse is 16 meters high.

This mountain is 60 meters over the baltic sea. 

The cannons

They are located on the west path which leads

to Bönsäcken.

Vindhalla

If you wanna relax in the sun on an outcrop, and want to take a bath in the baltic sea. you have to visit this stunning place located in the East side. There is also a barbecue area among the rocks.

The museum

The museum is located in the harbor near the large slipway. 

The Sauna

You will find the sauna if you walk past the harbor in a southerly direction. it's a red shed on the right side.

The beach

is located in the north from the harbor.

This place is perfect for your kids to take a bath in the Baltic sea. 

There is also a barbecue area if you will make a fire and benches where you can sit.
